EVENTS AT THE LIBRARY:
Here is some
of the things going on at the library:
Teen Book Club, meet twice a month. Please call for more information.
The Bobby Martindale Memorial Library's "Friends of the Library" committee is holding a fund-raiser "Desserts for the Deck" on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. This is to raise money to build a deck that will make the library handicap-accessible, as well as to add needed space to the library. We plan for our Home schoolers, Pre-schoolers, and our Ladies Book Club, and Recipe Club to meet on the new deck whenever weather permits. The handicap ramp will allow access into the library through the back door for anyone in a wheelchair. Tickets are available now at the library, City hall, and from any of our "Friends of the Library". Please try to attend our fundraiser or at least help out with a ticket purchase.
The Bobby Martindale Memorial Library in Grand Junction, as many of you know, is having a fund-raiser to help build a deck onto the back of the library. The extra space is badly needed, and we also need to become handicap-accessible. If you don't know, we have 6 computers with internet access, faxing, copies, and an excellent Resume' Builder program on one of our computers. We also have many clubs, and activities going on throughout the month, but all of these things take money that we don't have. Please try to help.
Thanks in advance,
Loretta
